Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing support of a confidential and complex nature within our Partner Resources function. May provide project support and/or administrative support to multiple team members at the direction of his or her manager. Handles non-routine information and carries out activities following general guidelines with limited direction. Exercises independent thinking and discretion. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinates and organizes sections of complex projects and leads small projects that support department or functional initiatives
- Provide professional support to the labor relations director including technical and administrative support relating to labor relations processes.
- Serves as the centralized point of contact for the labor relations team, including responding to routine questions regarding labor relations processes, tools and resources.
- Prepares confidential correspondences, reports and other materials for the labor relations function.
- As a labor relations coordinator, responsibilities include researching, compiling, documenting, tracking and responding to labor relations related requests.
- Handle confidential information directly related to labor relations strategies and directly supports individuals who make labor related decisions.
- Utilizes MS office suite to prepare documents, presentations, and reports to support labor relations and functional work..
- Support the creation and management of project timelines to deliver products and programs.
- Proofreads functionally specific materials for accuracy including copy, grammar and layout and makes appropriate edits.
- Proactively identifies and implements processes to improve workflow within their team and department.
- Provide calendar support to one or more leaders and/or a team.
- Meets with departmental managers to coordinate meetings, assignments and deadlines.
- Provides support for meetings, trainings, seminars and activities for department.
- Assists and supports with on boarding of new partners.
- Coordinates administrative tasks and projects such as tracking budgets, invoice coding, tracking travel expenses, generating reports and identifying variances, updating databases, etc.
- Schedules or coordinates business travel as needed.
We’d love to hear from people with:
- Knowledge and basic use of project management practices and tools.
- 1 or more years of experience in a role performing administrative assistant or coordinator job functions.
- 1 or more years of experience in a role managing calendars and email in Microsoft Outlook
- Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Experience in labor relations preferred.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
