Who are you?
We’re looking for a quick and capable self-starter who can integrate themselves into departmental workflows and understand at a deep level how and why the work gets done. You should be able to research the entire scope of an issue, set and uphold milestones and deadlines for themselves on a project, and should be able to clearly and concisely illustrate complicated workflows. You should derive a sense of satisfaction from closing out a difficult project, and look forward to moving on to the next challenge.

On a regular basis you will
- Plan, execute, and manage billing-related projects, including updating billing information for firms and cases.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with client-specific billing requirements, including custom line items and rate card usage.
- Develop, update, and maintain training materials related to billing and invoicing processes.
- Assist in onboarding new hires and provide comprehensive training on billing systems, processes, and client requirements.
- Conduct ongoing training sessions to keep the billing team updated on process changes and new initiatives.
- Manage and resolve billing disputes in a timely and efficient manner, collaborating with internal teams and clients to investigate and address discrepancies.
- Generate reports on billing activities, dispute resolution, and project progress for senior management.
- Become an expert on Steno's billing systems; help advise on system changes in collaboration with the Product Team; organize the component projects for the annual rate changeover
You’re gonna crush it if
- You have strong organizational skills and are able to juggle overlapping project timelines that can span months.
- You are equally comfortable diving into some administrative work to support the team or taking time to map on thoughts on strategic infrastructure projects.
- You are able to eloquently express complicated concepts through training materials that can be understood by employees of all skill levels.
- You have experience in billing, invoicing, or a related field, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and are experienced in creating
