The Systems Administrator II is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of systems and networks. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, system upgrades, and the implementation of new technologies to support business operations.

Job Highlights
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- System Maintenance and Support: Monitor, maintain, and support servers, and other IT infrastructure components to ensure high availability and performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Security Management: Assist in setting up security measures, including antivirus solutions, to protect company data and IT infrastructure.
- System Upgrades: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and installations to keep the IT environment up-to-date and secure.
- Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- User Support: Provide advanced technical support to end-users and assist with IT-related inquiries and issues.
- Project Management: Lead or participate in IT related projects, including the deployment of new technologies and systems.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):
- Education and Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows server environments, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
