Eligibility Specialist I
An Insurance Eligibility Specialist’s primary job function is to verify eligibility claim reason denials by locating and verifying patient insurance eligibility for primary, secondary and tertiary insurance for all payer types.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to identify various eligibility claim reason denials to proceed with resolution.
- Utilize different online forums such as payer portals and the clearinghouse to locate the correct insurance information for the patient.
- Update patient demographics with corrected information.
- Rebill claims to correct insurance carrier through the billing system.
- Problem solving skills to research and locate correct insurance information.
