Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with 8 to 12 years of experience in ETL Validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for our data integration projects ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our ETL processes. This role requires a deep understanding of ETL validation techniques and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the testing efforts for ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Oversee the development and execution of test plans test cases and test scripts for ETL validation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers on ETL validation best practices.
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to understand data requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Conduct thorough data validation and verification to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Ensure that all ETL processes meet the companys data quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to the ETL testing process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure testing timelines are met and deliverables are achieved.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of ETL code.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ETL testing processes and procedures.
- Utilize automated testing tools to streamline the ETL validation process.
- Ensure that all test environments are properly configured and maintained for ETL testing.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases.
- Provide support during the deployment of ETL processes to ensure a smooth transition to production.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Ensure that all testing activities are aligned with the companys overall data strategy and objectives.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of data solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of testing goals and outcomes.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of test results.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 – $ 110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
