Responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions of the department, including review of accounts payable, reporting requirements and other reporting. Assist Manager and Controller with the preparation of all internal and external reporting, including financial institutions, taxing authorities, owners, and regulatory agencies.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
- Accountable for meeting the timeliness of a three-day financial closing schedule, including reconciliating accounts.
- Responsible for compiling of the weekly cash disbursement report and maintenance of cash balances.
- Monitor general ledger activity for accuracy and respond to changes deemed necessary.
- Prepare periodic financial reporting packages on timely basis.
- Assist in preparing variance analyses, including cost/profit relationships.
- Understand legal entity organization structure to ensure proper accounting procedures are applied at a transactional level.
- Assist with external and internal audit requests, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with established accounting methods and systems used in operations.
- Prepare periodic loan draw packages for submittal to lender.
- Complete ad-hoc reporting requests by Manager/Controller.
Requirements
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, cost accounting with an emphasis in real estate
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with various computer hardware, software and accounting systems that are used in the real estate industry. JD Edwards accounting system experience desirable

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Must operate a motor vehicle. May require ability to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:
We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an annual salary of $73,739.60 - $98,229, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
