Job Description:
The Endocrinology Service in the Division of Subspecialty Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Academic Clinician at the Instructor level or higher focused on patient care, education and research at our Manhattan location. The successful candidate will practice general endocrinology within the setting of a major cancer center with a special emphasis on endocrinopathies related to oncologic treatments such as immunotherapy-induced thyroid dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency and diabetes, steroid-induced diabetes and other related conditions. Prior experience in the management of the endocrine complications of immunotherapy is preferred but not required.
The 13 physicians in the Endocrinology Service at MSK provide consultations for a 500-bed hospital, outpatient clinics, and support for a growing regional network. The Endocrinology Service includes a multi-institutional ACGME-accredited fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and incorporates advanced practice providers in clinical activities. In addition to an internationally recognized program in thyroid cancer, the Endocrinology Service also provides specialized expertise in pituitary disease, adrenal tumors, metabolic bone disease associated with malignancy and cancer-related therapies, hyperglycemia management in patients actively receiving oncologic treatment for other malignancies and endocrine complications of immunotherapies.
The Department of Medicine is the largest clinical department at MSK and encompasses experts in solid tumor oncology, hematologic malignancies, subspecialty medicine and supportive and acute care services. Offering a range of services both in multiple sites in New York City and at their suburban outpatient locations in our Regional Care Network (RCN), DoM physicians oversee the care of the whole patient. Primary Responsibilities:
- Clinically evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of endocrine conditions on the inpatient and outpatient clinical service.
- In the outpatient clinical setting, primarily focus on endocrinopathies related to oncologic treatments including immunotherapy-induced thyroid dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency and diabetes, steroid-induced diabetes and other related conditions.
- Advance our research mission of discovery and innovation in endocrinopathies associated with cancer therapies by supporting accrual to clinical trials, observational studies and acquisition of biospecimens.
- Candidates can participate as principal investigators or co-investigators on grants or contracts by competing for internal or external research awards to advance our research efforts related to the endocrine complications of cancer therapies.
- Contribute to the teaching and research missions including supervising Endocrinology fellows, medical residents, medical students and advance practice providers.
- Participate in educational and quality assurance activities.
- Serve on institutional and service committees.
Requirements Include:
- MD., D.O., or equivalent with excellent clinical, communication and team skills.
- Board eligible or board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
- New York and/or New Jersey State license eligible
- Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Child Abuse Identification & Reporting.

Salary: $140,000 - $590,000
Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
