The Role:
The Credentialing Specialist is instrumental in managing the credentialing and onboarding processes for external caregivers, ensuring compliance with client requirements and legal standards. What You'll Be Doing:
Demonstrate commitment to the company's philosophy, mission, values, and vision.
Obtain and manage client credentialing requirements; review facility-specific checklists and communicate requirements effectively.
Initiate onboarding processes, including background screenings, drug screens, and medical screens, ensuring compliance with client requirements and legal standards.
Set up new accounts for medical/drug screens as needed, liaising with clinics and setting up billing information.
Verify caregiver licensure, assist in obtaining required licenses, and act as a liaison between caregivers and licensing boards.
Follow up with new hires, inspect documents for validity, and assist caregivers in fulfilling credentialing requirements.
Respond to contractors, clients, managers, and peers within 2-4 hours.
Oversee in-person applicants and assist with credentialing; occasionally meet off-site as needed.
Review and comprehend TJC credentialing requirements, audit compliance files, and address concerns regarding pre-employment costs.
Work with caregivers, recruiters, and client liaisons to manage start dates and ensure timely credentialing.
Present orientation materials, policies, and necessary information to caregivers.
Validate and document CPR, ACLS, PALS, and other professional course certifications.
Maintain accurate records in Company Software (Staffbot), adhering to data integrity policies and workflows.
Support the team and manager, adapting to departmental needs, and respond to feedback for continuous improvement.
Attend required educational opportunities and stay updated on department and business needs.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What We Look For:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
1+ year of administrative experience
6+ months in a compliance role preferred.

Compensation/Benefits Information:
The estimated base pay for this position is $17.00/Hourly.
Base pay will vary based on internal equity, candidates' skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. TotalMed offers a comprehensive benefits package.
