Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med/Surg - MA7N Solid Organ Transplant/Oncology 48's
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12x4, 48 hrs per week, will consider 36's
Length: 13 weeks
Must be flexible with weekend requirements
*** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Requirements:
- IN/Compact License
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Med Surg Experience
- Starting IVs, and CVA
- Skillset Preferences: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Chemotherapy Administration, and Monitoring Chemotherapy
- BLS
- NIH and ONS Preferred
Other Details:
- Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed
- Staffing Ratios: Dayshift from 1:5-6
Effective 11/30/24, will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).
**Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.

Unit Information:
**High acuity MS
~45% Heart & Lung Transplants - new and rejection,
~35% Heme/Onc, ~10% others - gen. surgery, trauma/plastics, med. overflow
• Nearly all patients will be on some sort of hazardous drug. Many patients are on or have recently received anti-neoplastics.
o Only 7N staff nurses with ONS competency certificate will hang/administer chemo—it may be necessary that a contract/agency RN be primary for the patient and coordinate chemo with the charge nurse.
• Nearly all patients are immunosuppressed and infection prevention is a priority.
• Transplant and polypharmacy are partners—requires high level of organization and attention to detail.

Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income.
Weekly gross pay based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
