You are a key contributor for ensuring a well-functioning compliance program of our licensed, regulated, and unregulated entities to serve Anchorage Digital customers in a fair and orderly manner. You have the ability to lead and significantly contribute to medium-to-large scale compliance projects.
You will help define the long-term strategy for Trading Compliance. You not only understand the “why” and the “bigger picture”, but meaningfully contribute to prioritizing the work within the team. Additionally, you will have cross-team exposure and are recognized as a reliable partner who can apply expertise to have significant influence within and outside the team.

Technical Skills:
- Demonstrates strong knowledge in trading compliance (specifically CFTC swaps compliance), evolving cryptocurrency regulations, and brokerage operations.
- Has knowledge and ability to interface with regulators such as FINRA, SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, DFPI, and U.S. financial market regulators and agencies.
- Applies regulatory knowledge to business practices and can build out a compliance framework around evolving regulatory guidance in the crypto space.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Provides advisory guidance to first-line trading and brokerage operations teams on regulatory compliance and risk management matters.
- Assists with varied and challenging initiatives to support a growing compliance framework, including developing market surveillance, interfacing with regulators on licensing/regulation/exam matters, providing training, developing policies and procedures, and supporting the trading business to grow and diversify in a safe and sound manner.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Is aware of Anchorage Digital’s regulatory, licensing, and business expansion strategy to assist in successful implementation and is considered when defining the planning and goals of the team.
- Influences the compliance roadmap for implementing necessary controls for various business lines.
Communication and Influence:
- Crosses the boundaries of Trading Compliance and partners with others to ensure Compliance review is accounted for as needed.
- Consistently expresses clear, thoughtful, analytical, and solutions-oriented communications, whether in high-impact slides/decks, written communications in Slack or email, or verbal communications.

- You have worked in trading and brokerage compliance, including CFTC swaps.
- You have worked in crypto and have experience with crypto regulation.
- You have startup experience.
- You can think on your feet and pivot quickly.
- You want to build and work in a fast-paced environment.
