We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our jConnect Support team, which provides comprehensive support to both internal and external Jack Henry & Associates customers. In this role, you will manage tasks related to external client endpoints and Jack Henry data centers. Your responsibilities will include supporting jConnect routers within our data centers for all applications.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking principles, exceptional customer service skills, and experience in incident management. Effective communication with both internal and external customers is essential.
This position is available for remote work within the U.S. The salary range is $65,000 to $79,000, depending on geographical location and experience, and will be determined by the hiring manager.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Monitor network and security policies for optimum performance and availability.
- Configure, and maintain jConnect Cisco routers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internally-reported network problems.
- Document and implements network procedures, policies, and events.
- Perform essential functions required for effective network disaster recovery testing, and restoral.
- Effectively communicate and troubleshoot during incident management events.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
- Active Cisco Network Certification (CCNA).
- 1 Year of experience with Cisco Networking
- 2 Years of customer support experience within an IT environment.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation that is one week every seven weeks.
- Ability to travel 5% for Jack Henry Meetings, trainings, or conferences.
What would be nice for you to have:
- 1 year of Azure experience.
- Strong networking understanding including: BGP, LAN, WAN, NAT, DMVPN, Netflow, and network monitoring systems.
- Proficient knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and networking principles.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks.
- Experience with help desk or ITSM systems.
