JOB SUMMARY: Manages and supports all scheduling staff within their area of responsibility, to ensure optimal performance. The Scheduling Supervisor will ensure that all staff reporting to him/her are properly trained and will be responsive to all employee issues as they emerge. The Scheduling Supervisor shall ensure that employee schedules are maintained in a manner that is compliant with Company policies and applicable collective bargaining agreements, review schedules for errors and finalize schedules prior to the close of each pay period. The Scheduling Supervisor will monitor all operations and schedulers to ensure compliance with national policies and procedures and will report inconsistencies to the Scheduling Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Supervise and manage daily scheduling needs of operations, ensuring adherence to all scheduling policies, works with the Scheduling and System Admin to establish policy changes or system enhancements.
• Verify certification and qualification records for all non-exempt staff are up to date and accurate with scheduling software.
• Work with operations to create shift rotations as needed to meet operational needs.
• Implement and monitor shift and vacation bid auctions as needed by operations.
• Act as a team lead for software rollouts within their areas of responsibility.
• Work with Systems Admin to ensure continued correct rule configuration in scheduling software for their respective areas.
• Ensure rule compliance with all company specific operating procedures, collective bargaining agreements, union contracts, etc.
• Establish, communicate, and maintain work schedules for all non-exempt personnel.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone’s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.
• Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and works to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results. Champion affirmative action efforts in all aspects of employment, including but not limited to staffing, training, promotion, etc. Responsible for compliance with and enforcement of company/department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
• Five years of scheduling experience required; some prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with scheduling software
• Experience with Microsoft Office products Education:
• High School Diploma or GED Skills:
• Ability to analyze output and handle high stress situations
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with all levels of employees and management
• Available for travel and emergency and high impact situations
