Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, Communications Center Applications and
Technology, the Senior Integration Implementation Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integrations between GMR’s CAD systems and both internal and external platforms. Acting as a facilitator, coach, and a liaison, this position supports successful integration initiatives involving Emergency Communication Centers, third-party systems, and internal software solutions. This role collaborates with cross-functional IT teams, Business Operations, and Communications Center leadership to facilitate interface and integration projects. Occasional travel within the United States (up to 10%) may be required.
Summary/Responsibilities:
- Attend Project Kick Off and Discovery to gain knowledge of business processes and requirements.
- Works on large-scale system integrations across an entire enterprise, requiring advanced technical expertise and project management skills.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with vendors, GMR stakeholders and GMR external partners.
- Work cross-functionally with other internal IT teams at GMR, as well as external client teams.
- Configure integrations based on business requirement, consulting with Vendors and business representatives.
- Develop and Write testing scenarios for integration project based on the business requirements documentation.
- Schedule and conduct rigorous testing in collaboration with CAD Administrators and ensure required processes are operational, keeping stakeholders updated throughout the process.
- Responsible for peer reviews with CAD Administrators and Integration team prior to business sign off.
- Schedules and presents solution to business stakeholders for production implementation sign off.
- Prepares integration-specific documentation and assists with team training to ensure a smooth handoff to support.
- Responsible for ITSM requests and required documentation needed to establish initial connectivity, promote production installs, maintenance windows and other requests as needed.
- Provide maintenance and configuration changes as needed for integration solutions.
- Assist support with troubleshooting reported integration issues.
- This position does not require being on call. However, there may be instances where the specialist needs to provide assistance during an outage situation. Additionally, you may need to work after hours and weekends to support project go-lives, upgrades, and maintenance windows.
- Use skills and experience to take on tough technical challenges.
- As a Senior member of the Integrations team, conduct solution reviews and mentor junior members.
- Actively participate in information systems security practices by following policies, attending training, and reporting security concerns.
Qualifications
Education & Industry Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (or relevant work experience in IT supporting Public Safety or Integration Projects)
- Preferred knowledge of basic networking principals and server infrastructure.
- Minimum 7 years of experience implementing CAD interfaces in Public Safety environments.
- Proven success with integrations such as CAD-to-CAD, CAD-to-RMS, CAD-to-ePCR, and CAD-to-third-party applications.
- Experience interpreting API specifications and translating business processes into system requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Proven track record of meeting project deadlines in fast-paced, complex settings.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience as a Public Safety CAD User and Administrator
