Responsibilities

Some of what you will be doing:

Taking inbound calls to process medication refill requests
Performing all duties within the scope of a Certified Medical Assistant's standards of practice
Handling incoming calls that require support for lab or imaging results, referral requests and clinical inquiries
Help guide patients to the right area
Work in an electronic medical record/electronic health record
Ensure we are verifying patient information and documenting appropriately
Contact patients when needed (a break from those inbound calls!)

Qualifications

We want you to be successful, so these are some of the qualifications required:

High school graduate or GED equivalent
Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
1 -3 years’ experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or medical office environment
Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
Strong computer experience (data entry, screen navigation, keyboarding), including working in an Electronic Medical Record or Electronic Health Records
Experience with Microsoft Outlook (email) and Word
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to adhere to daily schedules and duties
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent demonstration of caring and compassion
