Experienced Catering Banquet Chefs - $20-25 Hourly Rate
Qualifications ... Must have 3+ years experience as catering banquet chef
Must be able to work at least 35 hours weekly
Catering/culinary training preferred
Organizational & Creative Skills
Ability to expedite food and delegate work to kitchen team
Reliable transportation
Good communication skills; conversational English required
Understanding of catering kitchen expectations and pastry baking
References and/or examples of previous work
Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, bake and plate items for 1-10 daily catered events on time and to completion
Work on-site at events cooking, plating and expediting food to guests
Work with head chefs to create dishes for a rotating menu including cooked & uncooked hors d’oeuvres, appetizers, entrees & desserts
Prepare and create large quantities of dishes alongside chefs for events of 5-500+ people
Prepare & cook tailored menus and dishes to the expectation and satisfaction of the client
Create tasting menus alongside head chefs for potential clients
Maintain a clean workspace by cleaning dishes, work stations, and any other areas needed
