Job Description:
The Flower Packaging Technician reports to the Flower Packaging Supervisors. The ultimate objective of the Flower Packaging Technician is to package flower products both by hand and utilizing automated operating equipment line efficiently and compliantly, while maintaining a safe production and sanitary work environment. The flower Packaging Technician assists the Flower Packaging Supervisor with daily tasks, as needed, to maintain a productive work environment. The Flower Packaging Technician is a full-time position and may be required to work overtime.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Package flower products accurately and effectively
• Adhere to supervisors direction with ensuring that production goals are met on a daily basis
• Using automated operating equipment to complete tasks
• Overseeing the quality of products produced daily
• Full understanding of the quality standards at NEA
• Report quality issues to management
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
• When required, accurately produce quality acceptable labels for packages
• Maintain a reliable attendance record
• Communicate effectively between the Packaging, Kitchen, Distribution, and other NEA departments
• Assisting with gathering of daily production materials and inventory
• Boxing/case packaging of packaged units
• Assisting with break coverages
• Labeling finished packaged units (by hand, benchtop, or automated machinery)
• Production of chillums
• Understanding of all automated operating equipment required to complete daily tasks
• Strict adherence to safety procedures and company policies
• Have read and understand all S.O.P’s pertaining to job duties
• Failure to hit individual KPI for 3 consecutive months will result in an employee counseling session
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient with Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Possess a can-do attitude, resourceful, action oriented, reliable, and a team player
• Excellent communications skills as applied to internal teams
• Motivated with flexibility and adaptability
• Possess a sense of urgency, problem-solving, and organizational skills with great attention to detail
Education and Experience:
• 1+ year of relevant work experience
• Over 21 with ability to obtain an MA agent registration card
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to meet minimum physical requirements to work in a production and retail environment
