Imperial Pools in Taunton MA is looking to employ a CDL licensed truck driver (preferably with HAZMAT endorsement) to our team ASAP to help support our existing fleet of drivers and rapidly growing business. Duties will include loading and unloading freight at retail stores and residential jobsites in the eastern Massachusetts region. Responsibilities:
• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from our Taunton MA distribution facility to local retail stores and jobsites.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Meet delivery schedules
• Familiarity with ELD systems is a plus but willing to train
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions at retail locations and on jobsites
• Assist with warehouse duties such as loading when not driving
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
Requirements:
• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, ELD etc)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Valid CDL A or B truck driving license, HAZMAT Certification a plus
