As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials within the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, sorting, storing, and distributing materials to various departments or locations within the facility.
Responsibilities:
• Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy of quantities and items.
• Sort and organize materials according to established procedures.
• Safely and efficiently transport materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and placement of goods.
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions using computerized systems or manual logs.
• Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and productive environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math and computer skills for inventory management tasks.
• strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
