Responsibilities ... • Direct food production for catering events, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation are maintained.
• Develop innovative and creative recipes that align with client preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Plan and execute menus for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
• Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, motivation, and training to ensure a cohesive and efficient team.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to optimize food costs and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with event planners and clients to customize menus and accommodate special requests.
• Represent the company professionally at events, interacting with clients and guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a chef in catering or high-volume food service environments.
• Strong culinary skills with a focus on creativity, flavor, and presentation.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
• Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and make quick, informed decisions.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Additional Skills:
• Experience in banquet dining and catering.
• Knowledge of first aid and food safety practices.
• Flexibility to handle criticism and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Familiarity with hotel kitchen operations and event logistics.
• Understanding of nutrition, portion control, and seasoning techniques.
• Well-tuned palate and willingness to experiment with new flavors and ingredients.
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $30.00/hour.
