Receptionist Position Summary:
The Receptionist - Front Desk is responsible for greeting and directing all patients, visitors and staff upon entering or calling the hospital. Ensures that all visitors obtain a visitor pass upon entering the lobby. The job duties are to assist indirectly in providing patient care by ensuring a safe, healthful, pleasant environment. Tasks occasionally require ... internal communication outside of the work group to exchange work-related information. Strong customer service skills are required in order to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and staff.
Receptionist Key Accountabilities:
Employee demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide consistent service to patients, visitors and staff as indicated by the following:
• Demonstrates ability to provide services as described in job description.
• Demonstrates exemplary customer service skills
• Greets and directs patients and visitors upon entering the hospital.
• Ensures all patients, visitors and staff have either employee identification or obtain visitor's pass in accordance with hospital policy.
• Provides accurate information to patients, visitors, staff and incoming calls.
• Provides information on patients, while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
• Maintains and updates information on all patients.
• Answers telephones with adherence to the telephone etiquette policy.
• Ensure workstation is clean before during and after shift.
Work Schedule: Part time, Fri - Sun (2pm - 10pm), 30 hrs/wk, weekend work required

Receptionist Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma is required.
• One (1) year of customer service experience required.
• Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft package is required.
• An individual with this experience should be capable of performing the stated job duties within three (3) months under minimal supervision.
