Colorado Parks and Wildlife is accepting resumes for a temporary position at the front desk in the Fort Collins Service Center
Primary job responsibilities include providing detailed information to our constituents on a wide range of topics that include:
• Information on fishing, provide hunting information for big game, small game, waterfowl and turkey by verbal and written communication.
• Sell hunting, fishing and big game licenses, register boats, OHV’s and snowmobiles and sell park stickers.
• Interpret Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) regulations, policies and State Statutes.
• Address nuisance wildlife concerns and provide information on coexisting with wildlife.
• Provide detailed information on State Parks, boating, hiking, etc. Make hunting reservations on the reservation system, fill Hunter Education orders, check harvested animals at the check station.
• Sort daily mail.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a current & valid drivers' license or reliable transportation
• Must be available to work Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Must be willing and able to work outside which may involve inclement weather.
• Experience in customer service
• Experience with hunting, fishing, wildlife, camping and Colorado geography is a plus, but not required
• Ability to work with the general public in person, by phone and email
• Familiar with Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s website
• Possess a strong knowledge of computer fundamentals including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Dependable team player
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced setting
• Recent college graduates with a Natural Resources degree preferred
• Previous experience handling money and working with the public preferred.
• Possess strong interpersonal communication skills to deliver excellent customer service.
• Basic computer skills[required (MS Office Suite, Google App Suite)
• Ability to work well within a team.
• The work-site will provide some uniform items, however the employee may be required to purchase limited uniform items at their own expense.
• Successful completion and passing of background screening may be required for placement in this position
