Your Responsibilities
• Greet all visitors and maintain sign in and sign out sheet.
• Answer the telephone, forward calls, take messages and deliver messages to appropriate personnel.
• Complete direct inquiry sheets on prospects and conduct tours of community.
• Monitor entrances and exits and report suspicious activity to DON, Maintenance Director, or Executive Director.
• Keep the lobby and reception area clean, neat, and orderly.
• Perform light office work as assigned.
• Assist in interviewing residents and family members and obtain required admission information and signatures.
• Assure a smooth transition from the home or hospital to the community with clear communication with all necessary personnel.
• Respond to requests for medical record information by insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
• Review room rates, billing procedures, resident care procedures, etc., with residents and family members.
• Provide residents with admission information packet and review as necessary.
• Notify nursing staff when the resident has arrived assure resident is escorted to their assigned room.
• Organize, maintain, and audit resident medical files, discharge records and Health Information System information to assure completeness, accuracy, accessibility and compliancy.
• Submit request for completion of documents or signature from physician’s office.
• Manage the release and sharing of resident’s protected health information.
• Uphold confidentiality according to HIPAA rules and other state and federal regulations.
• Assist in interviewing residents and family members and obtain required admission information and signatures.
• Assure a smooth transition from the home or hospital to the community with clear communication with all necessary personnel.
• Respond to requests for medical record information by insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
• Review room rates, billing procedures, resident care procedures, etc., with residents and family members.
• Provide residents with admission information packet and review as necessary.

General Requirements
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required, senior living a preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), required.
• Previous Admissions in Senior Living, helpful but not preferred, willing to train the right person.
• Knowledge of Medical Records preferred
Job Type: Part time
Classification: Non-exempt
Shift/Schedule: Fridays & Saturdays - 8:30am-5pm
Salary: $16-$19/hr.
