At its core, the Fill/Pouch Production Technician I contributes significantly to our mission to uphold and sustain lives by supplying, handling, and preserving different equipment in the Fill/Pouch sections, including monitoring the quality of the products produced.
Responsibilities of Production Packaging Technician:
• Make manual adjustments or utilize an electrical control panel (HMI) to oversee, control and adjust manual and automated filling equipment and machines as needed.
• Operate a PIT to deliver, restock, and replenish production supplies at a pace that is commensurate with production demands.
• Fulfill basic maintenance activities that consist of correcting machine alignment, substituting machine components or belts, purifying and lubricating, while embracing the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program.
• Keep the staff count aligned with the production plan per shift for optimal efficiency.
• Perform quality checks on a regular basis to ensure product excellence, interpret the product's disposition, detect any inconsistencies, and take necessary action, even if it requires pausing the machine.
• Inspect the completed work to confirm that it adheres to the defined quality guidelines.
• Enact necessary amendments to batch control systems, tank management practices and sub lot segmentations, as necessary.
• Additionally, these systems may capture information related to equipment maintenance and calibration, personnel involved in the manufacturing process, and environmental conditions during production.
• Scrutinize, categorize and rectify any interruptions in the machines' performance such as problems with alignment, mechanical wear, or setup.
• Standard work should be reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in equipment, technology and safety standards.
• Through blueprint perusal and measurement apparatus application, confirm that the end product meets all specifications, making amendments or repairs as required.
• Complete the cleaning activities scheduled, and document them accordingly for record-keeping purposes.
• If requested, I can lend my expertise in improving quality standards or enhancing VIP programs.
• In partnership with the Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor, create a training program that meets the unique requirements of the line staff.
• Instruct new associates on the importance of responsible operations.
• Workers should be trained on the correct use and handling of tools and equipment to keep them safe and enhance productivity.
• It is imperative to take the necessary action and notify the supervisor if problems relating to safety, quality, mechanical issues, or inconsistency are encountered.
• Knowing, comprehending and executing a rigid set of quality criteria, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) is pivotal to producing high-quality products.
• Enlisting the help of all team members to adhere to 6S principles can promote accountability and teamwork in maintaining a clean and organized workplace.
Qualifications of Production Packaging Technician:
• Candidates need to have a High School Diploma or GED and must be of at least 18 years of age to meet the eligibility criteria.
• The employer highly regards applicants who possess a Career Readiness Certification at the Silver level.
• Individuals who have previous experience as Production Technicians or manufacturing personnel, particularly if experienced with tasks like machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient enough in English to easily communicate with other team members verbally and in written form.
• Be skilled in reading and interpreting quality instructions, to ensure that all products, processes, and services comply with industry standards and specifications.
• A grasp of primary mathematical skills is crucial for carrying out even the most mundane tasks effortlessly.
• Possessing the ability to effectively operate calculators and measuring devices, as well as having a good grasp of using basic handheld tools.

Requirements of Production Packaging Technician:
