Housekeeper: The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and comfortable environment in assisting with overall upkeep of property common areas, vacant apartments, and communal spaces.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Dust and polish fixtures, surfaces, and furniture
• Sweep, mop, wax, and/or vacuum floors
• Remove debris and trash from all office receptacles and property trash cans, if there is not a Groundskeeper
• Wipe down doors and windows
• Examine rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management
• Clean out globes over light fixtures
• Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies for the week’s work
• Order supplies by notifying Maintenance Supervisor
• Obtain list of vacant rooms
• Turn clean, during non-transition time
• Be respectful of residents living in open bedrooms
Education/Experience:
• Prior housekeeping or similar experience helpful
• High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit for long periods of time;
• Ability to use hands and fingers;
• Ability to speak, see, and hear;
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull;
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds;
• Ability to walk and climb stairs;
• Ability to think, concentrate, and communicate;
