Job Summary
Location: Woodland, CA
This position is responsible for the warehouse procurement and inventory activity, and operation of the maintenance management system inventory and procurement modules. Reporting to a supervisor, the position involves performing difficult and complex services requiring a high level of independent judgment, initiative, and discretion. Results are reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies, procedures, and practices. This is a nonexempt, hourly position.
Key Accountabilities
• Help to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant by ensuring that parts and materials are on site as needed
• Procure and purchase of spare parts and materials for stock and non-stock
• Evaluate vendors quote and services to determine most desirable supplier
• Ensures warehouse maintains adequate spares and consumable parts inventory
• Expedites goods and material for stock and non-stock
• Represents the plant in dealings with equipment vendors, parts suppliers and contractors delivering material to the plant
• Prepares spaces and areas to store all items of all sizes, shapes, and weights
• Verifies that storage and maintenance of materials & equipment is according to the site procedures and vendor recommendations
• Performs warehouse asset inventory
• Prepares periodic warehouse progress reports
• Maintains warehouse in a safe and clean manner
• Coordinating for the safe unloading of all freights
• Setting up, using, and maintaining an inventory location system to retrieve items effectively and rapidly upon demand
• Using the inventory system to generate reports on what is in inventory and its value
• Assist requestors of items that are needed for use to be removed from storage
• Assists in other plant activities, as assigned, including maintenance assistance during overhauls
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent and knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through at least 3 years of relevant professional experience with large industrial sites and/or power plants, warehouse activities and power plant procurement, or
• Associate degree or industry-recognized certificate (i.e., the completion of a core group of course designated by the institution) in a related discipline is preferred and knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through at least 2 years of relevant professional experience with large industrial sites and/or power plants, warehouse activities and power plant procurement, or
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience with large industrial sites and/or power plants, warehouse activities and power plant procurement

Other Requirements:
• A thorough, demonstrated understanding of all aspects of warehousing, from receipt of the material and equipment, to when it is checked out of the warehouse
• Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions and the ability to administer supply type contracts
• Technical knowledge of power plant equipment, purchasing and inventory control
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing to internal and external audiences
• Proven ability to develop effective working relationships
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple simultaneous activities
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel; familiarity with email and knowledge of logistic type warehousing inventory systems
• Proven ability to take tasks, assignments, and projects from start to completion without significant supervision
• Ability to function within a matrix organization in which functional and business leaders have equal authority within the organization and employees report to both a functional leader and a business leader
• Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with both a functional and business leader, who collaborate on employee issues and decisions (including performance management, compensation, and development)
• Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works, both in a business office setting and at a plant site. In the course of working at the plant site, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions, and may work near moving mechanical parts and/or machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office, but may become loud at the plant site.
