The Production Material Handler I’s responsibilities are to maintain accuracy and control, with minimal supervision, of inbound and outbound materials and the Kanban levels in the designated production Kanban areas ... What you’ll work on:
• Maintains accurate logs, files and computer systems for material receipts, issues, returns and Lot control.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels in Kanban and reconciles shortages or overages. Processes daily material issues and returns.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Monitor and maintain Kanban inventory levels in the designated production areas where material is stored for production use.
• Perform appropriate material transactions/functions (using computer ERP/MRP system or paper-based forms/documents) required to issues, handle and/or record materials transactions.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area (i.e., sweeping, emptying trash, general cleanup).
• Escalate issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
• Able to operate material handling equipment (including electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
• Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
• Processing material requests in a timely manner to support manufacturing production areas.
• Participates in job rotation to be cross trained in secondary job responsibilities*
• Issues materials to production floor and maintains material traceability.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to theregulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
• Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
• Regular full-time employment for first shift. Hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday
What You’ll Contribute:
• Minimum education: High School or equivalent
• Minimum experience: Minimum 1+ year cleanroom assembly experience or manufacturing.
• experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience required to perform at this level.
• Skills: Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) helpful
Working Conditions:
• Stockroom and cleanroom environments
• Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens
• Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds
• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms,and to use a computer for extended periods of time, and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read, close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
Swing Shift, Roseville, CA
Starting Base Pay Per Hour is $16.72 - $19.73
Individual compensation will vary over time based on factors such as performance, skill level, competencies, work location and shift.
