DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, provides full range of administrative support for the Operating Room. Answers phones, directs calls, schedules surgical and invasive services, procedures, and clinic visits. Serves as primary receptionist as needed. Coordinates communications between several operating rooms via telephone and intercom. Acts as liaison between patients, patient's families, surgeons, nursing staff and outside parties when needed. Generates a variety of correspondence, reports, and minutes. Assigns lockers and maintain various databases.
This Per Diem position will be the administrative assistant support for the Jacobs Medical Center's operating room (OR) department and will have a VARIABLE schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Recent experience in a comparable administrative position.
• Proficient to expert level in Microsoft Office.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work in interactive environment and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
• Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
• Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $54,288 - $54,288 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $26.00 - $26.00
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
