Licensed Agent will gather pertinent information necessary to offer a quote while thoroughly answering questions and setting proper expectations regarding the product and sales process. The agent will explain various insurance policies and help clients choose plans that suit them.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough Medicare sales needs analysis with prospects and clients, including educating about Medicare and identifying suitable plans and services, via inbound and outbound calls as appropriate
- Close sales and underwrite policies for clients, completing applications accurately via computer systems
- Fully understand, abide by, and stay current with all Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rules and regulations as they pertain to duties assigned
- Provide thorough and accurate notes for each all in the appropriate system(s)
- Work with internal supervisors, managers, training staff, and customer service representatives
- Successfully meet daily/weekly/monthly sales goals
- Maintain proper quality standards as defined
- Adhere to assigned work schedule
- Maintain required licensing and certifications to perform job duties
- Accurately disposition overall context of each call in the appropriate system(s)
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required skills/abilities:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of sales experience OR combination of HPOne experience and external sales to total 6 months
- A current and valid health license (specific to state of residence)
- Must not have failed America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) certification with any other organization within past 12 months
- Must be released or able to obtain release from current upline (brokerage appointed under) and employer
- Applicable state health licensure and satisfactory criminal history searches. Certain Federal and State laws, as well as insurance carrier requirements may prohibit hiring insurance agents who have ever been convicted of various criminal actions. Problematic criminal history will result in denial of employment or discharge if determined after hire
- Frequent multi-tasking or changes of tasks using different techniques, procedures or degrees of attentiveness without loss of efficiency or composure
- Computer/technology skills, proficiency with virtual communications tools
- Reading/writing/written comprehension – proficiency with scripting tools and prompts/pop-ups
- Strong oral comprehension/communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficiency at influencing or persuading others
- Perform repetitive and routine tasks
- Adherence to “on-camera” requirement for remote training, meeting sessions and as requested by leadership
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Call center/sales environment experience
- Prior Medicare experience
- Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements
These requirements apply for the duration of a typical 8-hour shift for 40 hours per week:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desktop workstation
- Hand dexterity, fine motor skills needed to operate a keyboard and mouse efficiently
- Reach with hands and arms occasionally
- Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to focus and interact with different applications simultaneously on dual monitors, constantly switching between tabs or applications
- Continuous use of a headset to talk and hear for clear communication during phone calls and meetings
