Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Receptionist is responsible for the smooth, professional operation of the switchboard, greeting visitors, and generally controlling the reception area ... The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Answering the phones, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
• Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
• Answer queries from the public and refers them to the appropriate staff member
• Assist with administrative project, activities as time and business needs allow
• Assist with Employee Check-In and Visitor Sign in/Out process
• Maintaining a log of all deliveries that come in through the lobby
• Preparing UPS packages for pickup
• Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
• Update vacation calendar for all Admins
• Sorting all mail and logging in all checks
• Stamping in the mail as needed
• Scheduling and maintaining conference rooms
• Light secretarial typing as needed
• Maintaining all office telephone, cell and email directories
• Maintaining a log of all outgoing courier packages and scheduling courier pickups
• Checking the company website's email account daily
• Coordinating switchboard coverage when absence from the office is planned
• Keeping the reception area neat and well-organized at all times
Qualifications:
• Must have excellent telephone etiquette, communication skills, and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook
• Pleasant, engaging, and professional demeanor
• Team player
• Self-starter - resourceful and proactive when issues arise

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
