Express Employment Professionals is seeking a forklift operator for local Loudoun County, VA business. The ideal candidate will have a valid certification and will be able to drive and operate the forklift in a variety of conditions and warehouse settings. Able to Operate heavy machinery a plus! The pay range for this position is $15-$18/hr.

The forklift operator will also be responsible for ... moving large quantities of inventory and keeping track of their placement.

Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities: • Follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state • Operate forklift with care and with awareness to people and environment around machine • Perform maintenance on machine as needed • Follow and update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks • Move inventory and materials across facilities • Stack and organize large bulk items • Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and delivery to proper location • Carry inventory for shipping to proper truck • Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations • Make note and request any damaged parts or replacements needed • Submit inventory records and log at close of day

Forklift Operator Requirements and Qualifications: • High school degree or equivalent, preferred • Valid driver’s license • Minimum (1) year experience working on forklifts, or other related equipment • Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or more • Able to work in a fast-paced environment • Able to work independently

Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 /hour depending on your experience.

Experience: • Forklift Operator: 1 year (Preferred) • Warehouse: 1 year (Required)

License: • Certified Forklift Operator (Preferred)

Job Duties: • Load and unload trucks • Move and stack materials • Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed • Rotate floor stock • General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned • Follow current good warehousing practice • Use common warehouse management software • Receive/process shipments • Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
