DESCRIPTION
Amazon Logistics is seeking a Supply Chain Manager, AMZL Planning. The Supply Chain Manager works across the North America (NA) organization in a cross-functional environment with Delivery Stations, Fulfillment Centers (FC's), Technology teams, and the Retail organizations to determine future demand, and translates this forecast information into accurate capacity plans and makes ... system adjustments to manage the plan.
• This role requires travel for 5% of each quarter.
Key job responsibilities
- Knowledge to quickly understand and assess simulation results and the business impact of trends to make the best decisions based on available data
- Configure the inputs driving shipping decisions for packages in our global transportation network
- Define metrics to measure transportation performance and drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce non-value added work
- Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
- Maintain and report up to date and accurate statistics, management reports and analysis
- Facilitate the flow of information between different stakeholders (Operations/Delivery Stations/Fulfillment Centers/Sort Centers)
- Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure that they are delivered
- Scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools are used by Transportation and Operations
- Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
- Problem solve and design solutions for Amazon's transportation network, support large scale transportation programs
- Maintain/update internal documentation for internal training and reference

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of program or project management experience
- 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
