Responsibilities:
• Lead, motivate, and develop department personnel including selection, performance management, and employee relations.
• Manage a staff of 30 employees including two night managers (three shifts ... • Manage the picking & loading process of approximately 15,000 cases of beer and 20 trucks each day
• Responsible for facility maintenance & repairs at our main warehouse in Carlstadt, NJ and our secondary warehouse in East Rutherford.
• Plan, direct and schedule all manpower and equipment needs to meet daily operational requirements
• Responsible for hiring & training warehouse personnel including annual forklift certification.
• Supervise receiving over-the-road loads from Anheuser-Busch and other breweries
• Track and analyze operation efficiency measures
• Lead process improvement, identify/implement Best Practices and initiate change
• Manage, coach and develop a team to meet operational KPI/PI’s
• Update templates and communication tools (including Weekly Trackers, Inventory tracking, and Meeting Decks) to provide routine visibility of operational performance
• Responsible for weekly time card approvals & PTO scheduling.
• Responsible for fork truck maintenance & repairs
• Responsible for HVAC maintenance & repairs to ensure system meets Anheuser-Busch guidelines to store product in a clean & temperature controlled environment.
• Responsible for exterior maintenance & repairs - Carlstadt location including landscaping and snow removal.
• Enforce and promote safe working practices
• Responsible for Warehouse safety & OSHA reporting
• Responsible for adherence to local fire codes
• Roughly 60% warehouse; 40% computer/desk work
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree from accredited college
• Three - Five years experience in Warehouse management
• Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees and managers
• Versed in electronic reporting including use of Excel, Word Perfect
• Ability & willingness to work with different groups including Sales, Delivery & Administration
• Valid New Jersey Driver License
