Residential Warehouse Junior Trader

As a Barclays Residential Warehouse Junior Trader, you will join the Securitized Products team that manages the residential loan portfolio business. In this role you will assess market value of portfolios, set trade level haircut, and spread for each product that the business is mandated to lend against. You will work with internal risk partners to monitor and formulate risk parameters, provide guidance for the business platform governance and development and maintain/enhance client relationships in close partnership with the internal team.
Salary / Rate Minimum: $155,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $250,000

What will you be doing?
• Being the subject matter expert overseeing the development of a robust financing platform in deal lifecycle activities related to US Residential warehouse financing
• Leading and managing client engagement in tandem with origination teams, trade structuring, pricing & execution, and post trade life cycle management
• Accounting for review and signoff on daily P&L, risk exposures, hedges, and various other market driven metrics
• Working on materials related to present to capital committees and credit risk for respective transaction approvals
• Operating alongside infrastructure partners in supporting activities related to trade booking and settlement issues through to stress loss simulations
• Working with technology on enhancement of internal infrastructure, architecture and automation to ensure scale and sustainability
• Partnering with Business Control Officer (BCO)and compliance partners to maintain a control environment
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Some experience in a financial services firm or institution
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and high pressure environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills to drive franchise business
• Knowledge of trading infrastructure and systems is a plus
Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
