Job Description
There are few positions in the retail auto business more important than receptionists. They are at the "front door" of the business, most often the first point of contact, the helper, the problem solver. It requires a special personality and someone who genuinely enjoys people. And the opportunity for growth for a receptionist is huge! They know more about the business than most ... people in the building.
Responsibilities
• Cheerfully answers incoming calls with phone traffic that can be heavy at times
• Uses effective communication skills to take messages and forward them to the appropriate person
• Determines the relative importance of phone calls
• Directs visitors by maintaining employee directories and notifying company personnel of a visitor’s arrival
• Provides administrative assistance as needed
• Directs customer questions and concerns to the appropriate department personnel
• Creates a good first impression for customers with a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
• Completes other responsibilities as assigned, which may include cashiering
Qualifications
• Strong verbal communnication and listening skills
• Customer focused and customer service oriented
• Organized and able to multitask
• Calm demeanor when busy
• Reliable and dependable with a good attendance record
