Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Packaging Technician to join our manufacturing team in Astoria, New York. The focus of this position is on the production of ready-to-sell cannabis products. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Packaging Technician is responsible for executing work at the office relating to the production of cannabis goods and products. The position is not ... limited to the duties listed below, and the employee will often be asked to perform other related duties as requested or assigned. Responsibilities
• Primarily responsible for packaging tasks as needed for all products.
• Daily participation in a packaging assembly line with other members of the team.
• Quality check all cannabis goods to deem ready to sell.
• Document each step of the process using the pre-roll packaging record.
• Check quality control passed batches before packaging to ensure they are properly Quality Checked.
• Check failed cartridges to determine if they are unable to pass quality control check, document amounts of failed cartridges.
• Verify labeling and batch information on batches after labeling and black boxing.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of packaging area.
• Qualifications:
• High school diploma.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google sheets, etc.
• 2 years of working in a team centered environment.
• Manufacturing experience or working in a laboratory setting preferred.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with peers, supervisors, and managers.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Willing to help in other areas of the operation if needed.
• Ideal candidate will be well organized, self-motivated, honest, trustworthy, and articulate with a strong sense of brand integrity with excellent attention to detail and great organizational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently when required and have strong follow-through.
Physical Requirements:
• Light to moderate lifting (up to 25-75lbs); heavier weights with assistance.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Repetitive motions and understanding of lab equipment.
• Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions and both physical and mental demands.
• Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed.
