POSITION SUMMARY:
The Retail Cashier is responsible for assisting in the successful day to day operation of the retail store. This includes cash handling procedures such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits. The retail cashier must also maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and ... exchanges, and security practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and determine the customer’s needs or desires.
• Perform routine cash handling techniques including counting cash, verifying credit card information, processing gift cards along with returns and exchanges.
• Compute sales prices, total purchases and receive and process cash or credit payment.
• Maintain records related to sales.
• Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
• Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
• Ticket, arrange and display merchandise to promote sales.
• Demonstrate use or operation of merchandise.
• General housekeeping of the retail showroom.
• Assist customers try on or fit merchandise.
• Inventory stock and requisition new stock.
• Signing and filling out paperwork including safety wavers
• May perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Previous retail and cash handling experience preferred. Previous experience with Coral draw and photography experience preferred.
Skills:
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to make timely and sound decisions. Proven ability to handle multiple projects situations. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individual. Conscientious with great attention to detail
