About the Role
We are seeking a board-certified dermatologist to provide remote dermatologic care and help shape a growing teledermatology program. This independent contractor role is for a dermatologist who wants flexible hours, reduced administrative burden, and the opportunity to combine clinical care with digital health innovation and program development.
What You'll Do
Review store-and-forward/asynchronous patient cases, including questionnaires, photos, medical history, and prior treatments, and create evidence-based treatment plans.
Conduct virtual consultations and follow up visits when clinically appropriate.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat dermatologic conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe within the approved formulary, and adjust care as patients progress.
Provide patient education that supports adherence, safety, and continuity of care.
Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in telehealth platforms and systems.
Collaborate with clinical operations teams to improve workflows, escalation pathways, quality, and safety.
Contribute to evidence-based clinical protocols, program design, and patient-centered care pathways.
Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited for a dermatologist who enjoys patient-centered virtual care, communicates clearly in writing, and wants to shape specialty access without taking on the administrative load of a traditional practice expansion.
What We're Looking For
MD or DO with active board certification in Dermatology.
Active, unrestricted medical license and willingness to support multi-state telehealth care.
Residence in the continental United States.
Experience evaluating and treating a broad range of dermatologic conditions.
Strong clinical judgment and comfort working independently in a remote care model.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for asynchronous and live interactions.
Interest in digital health, telemedicine, clinical operations, and innovative specialty care models.
Prior experience with teledermatology, asynchronous care, protocol development, or multi-state practice is preferred.
