AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Interventional Radiology in Austell, Georgia, 30106!
Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an Interventional Radiology Technologist and use your expertise to perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will be responsible for imaging equipment setup, quality assurance, patient monitoring, and assisting providers in IR, vascular hybrid, and neuro-interventional procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Interventional Special Procedures in IR, cardiac, or vascular hybrid settings (required).
- Experience working in a Cath Lab environment; 2 years preferred (client-preferred).
- ARRT credentialing: ARRT-CV, ARRT-R, ARRT-VI, or equivalent vascular/interventional registry as listed (required).
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) also accepted (required).
- BLS certification upon hire (required).
- ACLS certification preferred upon hire (preferred).
- High school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required).
- Competency in interventional/vascular procedures, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection (required).
- Able to function independently during procedures after orientation/competency and participate on on-call rotation (required).
- Maintain current state license for radiologic technologists (required).
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift details: Monday–Friday, 0700–1700, structured as four 10-hour days.
- On-call requirement: Participate in on-call rotation; client note indicates 15 on-call shifts per 4 weeks and periodic weekend call (Friday–Sunday call 1 to 2 times per month).
- Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs and able to work scheduled and on-call shifts.
- May be required to float to other facilities as needed.

The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, prepares sterile fields and supplies, and documents charges and procedure details.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete vascular interventional competencies and demonstrate critical thinking in procedural settings.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide patient and family education, including post-procedural instructions.
- Follow sterile technique and pre-procedural verification processes, including time-outs and site/side marking when indicated.
- Maintain departmental records, assist with performance improvement and regulatory compliance, and support inventory management.
- Answer department phone using approved scripting and introduce self to patients using AIDET or similar communication protocols.
