The DAS Construction Manager oversees the end-to-end construction and deployment of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), private wireless networks, and Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) installations. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all technical specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Oversight
- Manage multiple active DAS deployment projects simultaneously from initiation through commissioning
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary
Technical Construction Management
- Oversee installation of DAS equipment including head-end units, remote antenna units, fiber optic cables, and coaxial distribution systems
- Manage private network deployments for enterprise clients, venues, and campuses
- Supervise BDA installations for in-building wireless coverage enhancement
- Ensure all installations comply with RF engineering specifications and performance requirements
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks throughout construction phases
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with RF engineers
- Manage permit acquisition and regulatory compliance requirements
Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as primary liaison between construction teams and clients
- Collaborate with property managers, building owners, and facility personnel
- Coordinate with carrier partners and equipment vendors
- Communicate project status and milestones to senior management
Team Leadership
- Supervise field construction crews and subcontractors
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety protocols
- Manage crew scheduling and resource deployment

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
OSHA 30-hour certification required
Tower climbing and safety certifications preferred
5+ years of construction management experience in telecommunications or wireless infrastructure
3+ years of hands-on experience with DAS installations and in-building wireless systems
Experience managing BDA deployments and private network installations
Knowledge of fiber optic installation and RF systems
Technical Skills
- Understanding of DAS architecture and components
- Familiarity with RF propagation principles and coverage design
- Knowledge of building electrical and HVAC systems
- Proficiency with project management software and construction scheduling tools
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
