The organization is seeking a Principal Frontend Engineer with extensive experience building highly performant, real-time, and interactive web applications tailored for trading. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert, leveraging a background as a founding or first engineer to guide the platform through its next phase of growth and product expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Maintain: Develop and sustain a responsive, user-centric web application utilizing React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Jotai.
- Feature Ownership: Drive the development of new features and refine existing functionalities through a proactive, iterative process.
- Performance Optimization: Implement industry best practices to ensure rapid load times and responsiveness, with a particular focus on mobile optimization.
- Complex Problem Solving: Address technical challenges with innovative solutions that directly improve the end-user experience.
- Code Excellence: Maintain clean, documented, and sustainable codebases to support long-term development health.
- Real-Time Integration: Support the integration of real-time data feeds and enhance interactive elements critical for high-stakes trading environments.
- Professional Background: Proven experience as a Founder, First Engineer, or Lead at a reputable DeFi project.
- Domain Expertise: A documented history of owning and building the frontend for real-time, highly interactive trading platforms.
- Technical Stack: Expert-level proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Jotai.
- Strategic Leadership: Experience collaborating directly with founders to make high-level decisions regarding tech stacks, product design, and feature architecture.

- Advanced proficiency in real-time data handling and WebSocket management.
- Autonomy: A self-motivated mindset with the ability to drive tasks forward independently in a fast-paced environment.
