The Opportunity: A Role Where You Can Solve Problems
This is more than a technical job; it's a direct contribution to public safety. As a Maintenance Technician, you are on the front lines, deploying and maintaining Acusensus’s world-leading technology. Your expertise ensures our systems for detecting distracted driving are operational, making a measurable, positive impact on communities by saving lives and avoiding injuries every day.
This role is based in Connecticut and reports to the Operations Manager with functional support from the the Senior Service Technician.
Who You Are
We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will posses strong mechanical and electrical awareness , technical diagnostic capabilities and solid IT skills. Experience in remote roadside fieldwork is highly desirable. Critically, you are a patient and collaborative team player who maintains a disciplined approach to documentation. If you're a problem-solver who enjoys working with machinery and thrives in a technical environment, we would love to hear from.
What You'll Do
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the successful, on-schedule deployment and continuous, high-performance operation of Acusensus’ road safety solutions through expert maintenance, and repairs to our hardware and fleet of trailers and cars.
Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Deployment of Acusensus’ solutions to the client’s schedule
- Maintaining the performance of the delivery of services to meet and exceed our customer’s needs!
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair activities to our hardware and fleet
- New site surveys to assess the suitability of locations for the deployment of the solution
What You’ll Bring
- Qualification in mechanical or electrical related fields or relevant demonstrated experience.
- Strong mechanical and small diesel engine knowledge and skills
- Fault finding using appropriate knowledge, measurement tools and aids
- Ability to read, create and/or modify technical diagrams, drawings, schematics or plans
- Full drivers license
- Be familiar and confident with computers/IT based work, understanding of networking is highly regarded but not essential including
Candidates must have full work authorization in the US.
