POSITION PURPOSE
The position’s primary responsibility will be to assist with new membership growth across all markets by increasing our market presence. This involves assisting in researching market trends, forging partnerships, cultivating relationships with targeted businesses and their employees, promoting the credit union through networking with local and state leaders to ensure growth targets are met as well as promoting Five Star as the preferred financial provider in our markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Conduct outreach to individuals and businesses as directed by the VP.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community leaders.
- Attend community events and networking opportunities to generate leads.
- Provide information on credit union products and services.
- Implement membership acquisition strategies developed by leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and member interactions.
- Assist new members with procedures to open an account and onboarding.
- Coordinate outreach efforts with marketing and financial centers.
- Contribute to periodic reporting on growth and impact from activities of department.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare monthly reports for VP review.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: Diploma
Valid Driver License
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of credit union products and services
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years or more in related sales, marketing or business development.
Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and public relations skills.
Critical thinking and analytical abilities.
Strong networking and public speaking skills
Solid business development, negotiation skills and navigating dynamic environments

Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
Physical Strength: Both sedentary and physical activity involved. Able to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.) Ability to operate motor vehicle with frequent stops getting in and out of vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization.

Mathematics Ability: Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; and ratio, proportion, and percentage. Able to perform very simple algebra.
Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend a variety of sources.
Ability to prepare memos, reports, and presentations using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis, correct
pronunciation (or sign equivalent), and variation in word order using present, perfect, and future tenses.
