Block LLP is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and oversee our Intake Department, including both in-office and remote intake team members. This role is responsible for driving performance, improving conversion rates, coaching sales professionals, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience from the first point of contact.
This position is ideal for a sales leader with extensive sales experience, a strong track record of managing teams, and a passion for building systems, accountability, and results. Prior law firm experience is preferred but not required.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, manage, and coach an intake team of in-person and remote sales professionals
- Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability standards
- Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews
- Train team members on consultative sales techniques and client communication
- Address performance issues and support professional development
Intake Sales Performance
- Drive conversion of inbound leads into signed clients
- Monitor and improve call handling, follow-up, and close rates
- Review calls, provide feedback, and implement coaching plans
- Ensure consistent sales scripts, intake workflows, and best practices
- Optimize response times and client experience across all intake channels
Operations, Metrics & Reporting
- Track and analyze key intake metrics (conversion rate, call volume, response time, sign-ups, lead quality)
- Prepare performance reports for leadership
- Collaborate with Operations and Marketing to improve lead quality and outcomes
- Implement and refine intake SOPs and sales processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Pre-Litigation, and Litigation teams to ensure proper case qualification and handoff
- Provide feedback on lead sources, messaging, and intake effectiveness
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients post-sign-up
- 5+ years of sales experience, including high-volume inbound or consultative sales
- 2+ years of experience managing and coaching a sales team
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals through team leadership
- Strong understanding of sales metrics, funnels, and performance management
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Comfortable managing remote teams and distributed workflows
- Law firm or legal intake experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with CRM systems, call tracking, and sales reporting tools
