POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory and IT Specialist is responsible for ensuring sitewide inventory accuracy by maintaining compliance with the perpetual cycle counting policy and verifying that all materials are correctly recorded in both quantity and location. This role supports production by ensuring materials are properly allocated to jobs, investigating and resolving transactional errors through root cause analysis, and implementing process improvements that strengthen inventory control. In addition to inventory responsibilities, the position functions as the local IT point of contact, providing user support, coordinating with remote IT teams, and training warehouse personnel on ERP transactions and system processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead and maintain site-wide cycle count programs, ensuring compliance with perpetual inventory counting policies and inventory control processes.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through detailed root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Generate, review, and analyze inventory reports, including over-issue and inactive stock reports.
- Maintain accurate and proactive material master data, including system settings that impact inventory control and support inventory optimization initiatives.
- Serve as the site ERP/MRP Super User, providing training, guidance, and troubleshooting to warehouse and supply chain staff.
- Monitor and resolve transactional errors in the ERP system to ensure timely and accurate updates.
- Ensure all materials are allocated to the correct production jobs and perform regular “contract cleanup.”
- Maintain and reconcile Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances across production areas.
- Lead continuous improvement (CI) activities within the warehouse, ensuring engagement, sustainability, and efficiency enhancements.
- Serve as the local IT point of contact for basic network, equipment, and user access issues, escalating to UK IT as needed.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP) is an asset.
- 3–5 years of experience working in inventory control, materials management, or IT support environments.
- Strong ERP/MRP system knowledge with the ability to operate as a Super User and provide user training.
- Basic IT competency and comfort supporting basic system and hardware issues.
- Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse supervisors, production teams, and cross functional departments.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Physical & Workplace Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly (75 lbs. with assistance), perform repetitive movements (bending, kneeling, crouching), and work on elevated surfaces or in confined spaces.
- Must be able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Requires visual acuity to read diagnostics and inspect components, as well as sufficient hearing ability to detect vehicle noises and alarms.
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including noise, dust, fumes, and fluctuations in temperature, while wearing PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and relevant HV PPE).
- Strong safety awareness and strict adherence to workplace procedures.
