Patient Access Scheduler I
REMOTE – Central Time Zone Only
SCHEDULE: Must be available to work as early as 7AM and as late as 6PM Monday–Friday, and Saturday’s as needed
PAY: $18.70/hour
Ability to advance to level II & III, with increased compensation!
We are seeking a Patient Access Scheduler I to join our team in Wausau, WI. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients—answering inbound calls, scheduling specialty or diagnostic appointments, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced contact center environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer 75–125 inbound calls daily to schedule or update appointments
- Place outbound calls for follow-ups, referrals, and reschedules
- Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor while assisting patients
- Collaborate with departments to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- 2 years healthcare setting experience required
- 1+ years contact center experience required
- Scheduling Experience Required
- Experience working with EPIC software required
- Strong customer service skills; medical office experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers
