RemX is seeking an experienced Remote Commercial General Liability Claims Specialist Part-Time to handle non-litigated GL claims from start to finish in the North East region (NY, CT, MA). This fully remote role is ideal for a self-directed claims professional who can manage a full caseload while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution.
Hours: 25-30 hours a week between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm Monday-Friday
Duration: 4+ months
Pay: $35-$40/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Handle non-litigated commercial general liability claims from intake through closure
- Conduct coverage, liability, and damages investigations
- Issue coverage, status, and regulatory letters
- Evaluate claims, set reserves, and negotiate settlements within authority
- Coordinate with insureds, claimants, agents, underwriters, adjusters, and counsel
- Identify potential fraud and refer to SIU as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, diaries, and reserves in the claims system
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Commercial General Liability claims experience (required)
- Strong negotiation, judgment, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with standard claims and business software
Education
- College degree preferred
- Industry training or designations a plus
