Overview
Carenet Healthcare Services, Philippines, seeks Sr. Dev Ops Engineer to design, develop and improve systems architecture to achieve a multi-origin, zero downtime, highly scalable system for healthcare organization internal systems in Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, and GitHub Actions for microservices and .NET applications.
- Build and maintain highly available infrastructure in Azure and AWS with redundancy, failover, and recovery strategies.
- Use Terraform, ARM templates, and CloudFormation to automate provisioning while enforcing version control and consistency.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes (AKS) and container workloads, including scaling strategies and performance tuning.
- Monitor production systems using New Relic, DataDog, and Azure Monitor; proactively address performance trends and service degradation.
- Maintain identity and access controls through EntraID and ensure appropriate configuration of security boundaries.
- Use scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python/PHP) to automate repetitive workflows and reduce manual interventions.
- Create clear architecture diagrams and documentation to support collaboration, troubleshooting, and training.
- Ensure policies, runbooks, and technical standards support compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and code reviews to enable team maturity and cross-functional readiness.
- Participate in on-call rotation, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Continuously evaluate tools, architectures, automation opportunities, and emerging DevOps trends for applicability at Carenet.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or software development.
- Deep hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Azure environments (App Services, AKS, Storage, Networking, Functions, Entra, Kafka, etc.).
- Strong working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, etc.) with practical experience in hybrid cloud environments.
- Advanced proficiency in building and operating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, and GitHub Actions.
- Proven success deploying containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and microservices architectures.
- Expert scripting capabilities using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and/or PHP to automate infrastructure and operational workflows.
- Strong development experience in C#, ASP.NET, and Python supporting application deployment, automation, and integrations.
- Experience with database technologies including Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and NoSQL platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — Terraform (mid-level), ARM templates, and CloudFormation.
- Proven ability to implement robust system monitoring and incident response using New Relic, DataDog, Azure Monitor; SolarWinds experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of AI-assist and developer productivity tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure AI Services).
- Experience supporting production systems in an on-call rotation with strong incident management discipline.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (preferred).
