Location: UCHealth UCHlth Admin 2450 Peoria, US:CO:Aurora
Department: UCHlth Centralized Telemetry
FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days - 3-12 hour shifts- from 7:00 am. to 7:30 pm.
Pay: $20.15 - $30.22 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.
Summary:
Monitors patients on telemetry devices and monitors at-risk patients on Safety View devices.
Responsibilities:
- Performs surveillance of multiple patients and recognizes abnormal findings. Reports and documents findings.
- Recognizes, intervenes, reports and documents abnormal findings or at-risk behavior during monitoring. Maintains telemetry records, rhythm strips and charting documentation in EMR.
- Greets patients, answers phone calls and assists health care team with patient visits.
- Performs clerical tasks as needed.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or GED, or in lieu of HS/GED, satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test is required. Preferred: EKG training.
- Minimum Experience: None required. Preferred: Telemetry experience.
