We are seeking an Oracle DBA with hands-on experience performing Oracle 11g to 19c upgrades, database migrations using RMAN backup/restore, and Oracle GoldenGate unidirectional and bidirectional replication setups. The role also requires experience in Exadata migrations, including moving databases from Oracle 11g environments to Exadata platforms.
Responsibilities:
Manage RMAN backups, restore, and recovery processes.
Maintain database performance, security, and patching.
Work closely with app teams during migration cutover.
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer.
Perform Oracle 11g → 19c database upgrades using:
Run pre-upgrade and post-upgrade checks.
Perform validation, testing, and rollback planning.
Install, configure, and manage Oracle GoldenGate Unidirectional replication (source → target), Bidirectional (active-active) replication.
Configure Extract, Data Pump, and Replicate processes.
Monitor replication lag and performance.
Migrate Oracle 11g databases to Exadata platforms.
Understand Cell/compute node architecture, ASM disk groups, Smart Scan, and storage indexes.
Perform RMAN restore/duplicate on Exadata.
Optimize database settings based on Exadata best practices.
Qualifications:
8+ years as an Oracle DBA.
Hands-on with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c.
Experience with RMAN backup/restore cloning and migration.
Strong knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate (uni & bi-directional).
Experience with Exadata platform, ASM, and RAC.
Strong SQL, performance tuning basics, and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with PDB/CDB multitenant architecture.
Knowledge of Data Guard.
