Authorization Specialist – Remote (Full-Time)
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year
Schedule: Full-time | Must be flexible to cover multiple U.S. time zones as needed

Position Summary
The Authorization Specialist is a key player on our team, making sure our clients get the care they need on time, every time. You’ll be the go-to expert for navigating insurance approvals and ensuring prior authorizations are handled smoothly. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and flexible enough to support teams and clients across multiple U.S. time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the authorization hero—obtain and track prior authorizations for ABA services from commercial and government payers via portals, fax, email, and phone.
- Team up with our clinical staff to gather and submit all required documentation.
- Make sure each payer’s requirements are fully met so care flows without a hitch.
- Keep an eye on pending requests, chase down denials, and file appeals when necessary.
- Maintain spot-on authorization records in our systems to support scheduling, billing, and reporting.
- Keep the team in the loop—communicate authorization statuses and updates clearly and quickly.
What We’re Looking For (aka Your Superpowers!)
Education:
- You’ve got your High School Diploma or equivalent (the basics are covered!).
- Some college or higher? Even better — bonus points for extra brainpower!
Experience:
- 2+ years navigating healthcare authorizations, billing, or insurance? You’re already ahead of the game.
- Bonus if you’ve handled ABA therapy authorizations or worked with major commercial and government payers — that’s our dream combo.
Skills:
- Time management & multitasking wizardry — juggling tasks like a pro without breaking a sweat.
